A Map on my Mind

Image result for twelve makes a dozen dog walkerI remember making a mind map of my very own, but I never actually tried to do it online like this Mind Mapping. Just last semester, I took a class called Elementary Art and I enjoyed it a lot, because it helped me learn that I can teach children how to do art. Sometimes, during the class, it was hard, especially when requiring to create a mind map that would work for an elementary classroom. I wasn't quite sure how this was supposed to work but I figured out how to do it and it took me like almost two hours to come up with the idea and trying to put it all together along with some pictures that would be enticingly exciting to a child in the elementary spectrum. I also learned that creating a mind map is supposed to take time to create and become official for people to understand it a lot.

Doc, Google for Me

It almost feels like I haven't got to talk about another technology tool that I've learned to use that could be usable for teaching elementary students. I never new how to use Google Docs. The first time I've ever heard of that was when I noticed my fifteen year old sister was doing most of her homework on it. I wasn't quite sure how it can really save all your work that you make on it, because I had a feeling with all your ideas and work you make saved online would be a likely way for people scheming to plagiarize the ideas. But mostly, I wasn't quite sure how Google Docs works. All the time, I just assumed that people who were born in the 21st century know how to use that technology a lot better than any other thing. I was born in 1993 and my sister was born in 2000, the beginning of the 21st century. I guess I just assumed that only people who were either born during or barely at the beginning of the 21st century would better know how to use technology. Maybe I better stop conclusions and just get on with the fact that anybody can use Google Docs.

Symbol for You

Image result for Twelve Makes a Dozen Dog WalkerThis may be too soon to do, but I'm feeling so desperate to learn a lot of new things of technology that I could use for my future classroom with children. I'm also desperate to try to get all of these other assignments in this class done before the end of the semester. There are a lot of things that I never knew about that could be useful, like Symbaloo. It was a bit hard to get started with it and it's also time consuming to find good topics to symbolize a website. I was a little worried of trying to find good educational activities that could be appropriate for children. I just found some good sites that I thought would be great for children to look through and hopefully they learn and understand the purpose of it. I even hope that anyone who visits my Symbaloo site will understand the purposes of what I plan to teach to my future class.
