A Thing to Link

I'm not really fond of doing things like a ThingLink, because, I never heard of it being a useful site for linking things. I was a bit worried about how I was supposed to make the links and I didn't know what I was supposed to do when it gave me two choices. Pay 35 dollars per year or do a discount registration to get more styling updates to make them. I couldn't do it, because I'm unemployed and I don't have enough money to do such a thing like that. I then realized that I could just change the profiles on each of the links. I don't know if it's helpful on all the educational activities I found that would count for teaching children. I hope that this is a good looking picture for a background on my ThingLink to present to children. That may get them excited to learning different things that I'll teach in the future.

You Can Make a Playlist through a Tube

I never thought that YouTube could actually have educational videos. No wait...I'm wrong, I actually knew that it had educational videos, I just never have been thinking of searching on that. But I have searched mathematics videos that would help with certain math problems that I'm struggling with. Anyway, I did find some educational videos that I hope that would help with my future children learn a lot of things. Most of the videos I found are from Schoolhouse Rock, one of my favorite education movies. There are others that could be related to the culture of an elementary school classroom, making children think about how exciting it would be to be in the classroom or they would like to hear some clean humor that would make them want to laugh I hope that in my future classroom, these would be acceptable to use. To be honest, I've never made a playlist on YouTube before. This is the first time I've ever done that.

The Story of My Life

I wasn't quite sure on how to use Tiki-Toki, but now do. Another thing that I wasn't quite sure about this is the assignment to it. The rubric suggested I should use the Social Studies subject. Now I'm not fond of learning past events that are way before I was born. I wasn't quite sure if using the story my life would count as a Social Studies subject. I hope this works out for a lot of you. :)

Natural Topic on Nature

I wasn't quite sure about this whole idea of just posting assignments onto my blog and submit it on canvas. That's one thing that I need to remember to do. The rubric for this assignment was saying something on a topic about nature. I wasn't quite sure if it was either an example or a required topic. But I thought it was a required topic, so I research everything on Pinterest that would have something to do with nature and it can be appropriate for an elementary classroom. I hope this works for the course and for my future classroom.

Welcome

Hello. My name is Nate Christensen. I will be using this blog I made for this class and for my future elementary cluster classroom. The reason I decided to come up with a blog like this is because someday, I want to be a special education teacher. I've been in a cluster class when I was diagnosed with mild to moderate autism. I'm hoping throughout this elementary technology class, I will be able to use it to fill in the things that I've learned from it and then I will be able to use these skills for my teaching career. I would like to explain a little more about myself. I'm the autistic Boy Scout who has earned 132 merit badges in the Boy Scouts of America program. It has helped me to gain a lot of experience and knowledge to understand the world, especially when I have the autistic perspective. I want to be able to teach special need children about a lot of things that I've learned, but I'll also need to teach children along with the common core curriculum of teaching. I hope that throughout this class, I will be able to follow along through it and understand the purpose of it so that I can use it to teach my future third grade special needed children. I hope this title I came up with will be the most appropriate for the children to understand their personalities.
